View at 10.30 am on 31 August of the approaching wave at
the Severn Bore Pub, Minsterworth August peak tide. We also watched the
bore on the previous evening at 10.00 pm but as it was dark (no moon)
you will have to believe us.

Thames Head hostelry our lunch time stop on the A433 near Kemble
and the nearest car park to the site of the Thames Head.

The Head of the Thames (according to the Thames
Conservator) two dry fields away from the pub and involves crossing the
railway tracks (fortunately not electrified) and then protected by a
herd of cows ( and a bull) which in the interest of research Polly
braved.
