Cardiff Holiday September 2001

Friday 14 September we travel to the Hi-Express hotel on Atlantic Dock, Cardiff

Saturday we make an early start with a visit to Cardiff market

Upstairs on the balcony Mum found the same stalls she had last visited during the war.

The view from the highest point in the Millenium Stadium.

Our guided tour of the stadium with my cousin Eileen started in the Home changing room of course.

The turf squares that make up the pitch take 6 days to lay. This happens several times per year when the grass is sent to St Athan's for renewal!

The final step in an excellent tour.

Sunday took us back to 39 Ynys St.

Merthyr Mawr bridge near Bridgend.

Monday 17 September we leave Cardiff and spend a few hours on the National Trust estate at Stourhead

Lakeside view.

On leaving Stourhead we head for home.
