F A Burt was erected in Grosvenor Place, Hyde Park Corner in 1844.

In 1883 it was dismantled by Messrs. John Mowlem & Co as part of
the alterations in connection with the Hyde Park Corner improvement.

In 1883 it was errected here in the grounds of Purbeck House by George Burt

PURBECK HOUSE is the realisation of Victorian ambition, enterprise and business acumen. George Burt had his house designed by Crickmay and constructed from 1875 onwards incorporating antiques and articles gathered from his construction works in London.

Emphasis on the walk will be given to the relics of London distributed in the grounds.
